BREAKFAST NOOK
Nothing much pleases me more than redecorating a room in the house (which usually just means rotating furniture and knick knacks, and the occasional lick of paint).
And spending little or no money in the process.
This week I shifted the mid century teak credenza (which houses the coloured glass I can't stop buying and don't use hardly enough) from it's usual spot in our (small) kitchen, and replaced it with a table and 3 chairs that I saved from becoming landfill.
There's something really cozy and nice about sitting in the kitchen, breathing in the cooking smells and sharing a beer or two.
It's fast becoming my favourite pastime. It's equally as sweet reading the weekend papes at the kitchen table, smelling the thick breakfasty smells of percolating coffee and greasy bacon.
Yum!
It's simple pleasures like this that float my boat.
What's sizzlin' your bacon these days?
